Wedding Quilt

My friend Jill is attending her brother-in-law's wedding this weekend. She is here for a 'flying visit' between moving from Belgium to Virginia!  And what would any self-respecting quilter give as a wedding gift?  A QUILT of course. So....she gathered fabrics from an exchange with her quilt group in Ottawa (the black fabrics and black & white fabrics) and squares from her very international fabric stash to make this quilt. There are many African fabrics, Indonesian pieces and other special fabrics in this quilt.

She brought the quilt top with her, ordered the backing and batting from a shop here in Victoria and thread from Superior Threads and this week we had the great 'longarm' quilt so she can get the binding on, the label and present the quilt to the happy couple before she leaves to set up her home in Virginia.  It's a VERY BIG QUILT!
