Other Art

I have often read that it is recommended that quilters and fibre artists spend time viewing other art. How about listening to art?

Have you ever wondered how those wonderful songs you hear on your iPod are made? Are all the people playing the instruments and the singer all in the room playing at the same time? Do they get it right the first time or do they have to do it over and over and over again?

If you'd like to read the 'real scoop' on the making of a CD, check out my friend Cathy Miller's blog.

Cathy is the Singing Quilter and she is in Toronto creating the next in her series of CD's about quilting and blogging about how it is REALLY done. It is fascinating reading, especially the parts where she's talking about rhythm, harmony, texture - all words that those of us who create with fabric are familiar with.

Can't wait to hear all the new songs and to hear the wonderful music made by all the different musicians she is working with.
