Spring Tulips in Texas

There was an overwhelming response to my workshop 'Ripless Paper Pieced Tulips' by the members of the Rio Grande Valley Quilt Guild. So many students wanted to take the class and learn the system that we added an extra workshop day!  Here are pictures of students with their amazing tulip quilts.

The first workshop was held at the Grace Episcopal church hall. It was a large space with wonderful lighting. Thank you Alice for arranging this space for us!

Day 2 was in a classroom at the Mid-Valley campus. Again we had plenty of room to make lots of tulips.

Just before my lecture to the guild we invited students to come up on the stage

to show their tulip quilts. What a wonderful field of tulips - to encourage us that Spring IS coming!
