This is the class for you...if you have basic free motion quilting experience and want to improve your skills. I will be teaching this special workshop at Calico Cupboard Quilt Shop here in Victoria.
I have taught hundreds of students throughout North America to free motion quilt on their home sewing machine. And my advice to students is always to 'practice, practice, practice'.
Practicing on small quilt sandwiches takes a huge 'bite' out of your quilting time so I developed a series of classes to give you more practice time. You won't be wasting precious quilting time as you make projects to increase your skills and become more comfortable with free motion quilting. You will have time to try new designs and work toward becoming an expert free motion quilter. Along the way you will learn some fun basic quilting techniques.
This series is based on a book I have recommended in my most recent beginner classes:
First Steps to free-motion quilting by Christina Cameli.
I selected projects that will build your experience as you make 5 projects. The book is required for this series. The supplies and preparation are discussed at the end of each session and you'll have 2 weeks between each class to complete the project and prepare for the next one.
The 5 classes are on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. -
January 12 and 26, February 9 and 23 and March 9.
The cost is $150 for all 5 classes.
There are two payment
methods. If you pay $150 all at once, you get a 10% discount.
Or you can pay three equal payments of $50 (1 at Registration, 1 on Feb 1st and last one on March 1st - this must be done on a credit card - there is no discount on this method of payment)
