A Day on Saltspring

Last Wednesday my weekly quilt group went to Saltspring Island for lunch, and to see a member who is living on the Island for a while. Just a few random pictures of the day.

Bicycling is a popular mode of transportation on Saltspring and there are decorated bikes all over the town of Ganges, including at the Community Artist Gallery.

We had a beautifully sunny day - a bonus since we've had the wettest June on record!

I also visited s
Salt Spring island last year with my family. We stopped in at the quilt shop and also went to a goat cheese farm. They make a wonderful goats' milk ice cream! And the soft cheeses we amazing! I want to go back again to explore this island further. Oh, and I too love the whirligig sculpture. Tina in Alberta, current paintstik student
