Give & Take Applique - Class Picture

I taught a design class at the Mayflower Guild Retreat at the Pictou Lodge - Give & Take Applique design. Students had 3 full days to develop their design ideas, first creating designs with paper and then testing them with fabric. The walls of our classroom were completely bare when we started, but were soon decorated with many creative designs, both in paper and fabric.

By the end of class the walls were full of exciting designs, each one unique and a personal expression by the students.







I was excited to see how each student developed their ideas as they learned more about design and how to then produce their chosen design with fabric.
