Road Trip

Yesterday I visited Nine Patch Media, a Canadian company specializing in instructional DVD's. They are 'just up the road' (about 3 hours away) on Vancouver Island where I live too. I went with my business partner Susan to see their film studio and learn about how they have created DVD's with some of the best quilt teachers in the business.

Here is a picture of the partners in the company. Five-time published author Sharon Pederson is an internationally renowned quilting instructor. I have known Sharon for many, many years. We first met in the 'line up' for the HUGE annual sale day at Satin Moon Quilt Shop one January almost 20 years ago!

Technical Director Chris Manuel, a former Disney producer, brings 20 years in media production.  Chris brings much experience and technical knowledge to the team and is an avid musician; Chris writes and records the musical scores for Nine Patch DVD productions.

Elizabeth Phillips has extensive experience in business development, planning, and sales and marketing. She is also a certified Bernina Embroidery Software instructor.

We had a wonderful day learning all about their business and catching up over a delightful lunch.
