Association of Pacific Northwest Quilters

Quiltfest is the only juried and judged quilted fiber arts show north of San Francisco and west of the Mississippi river. The 2008 version of the show will take place August 8-10, 2008 in the Washington State Convention and Trade Centre in Seattle.
This show will have over 400 pieces on display including my entry 'Arabesque'! I'm thrilled that it was selected from over 600 entries.

In addition to the primary exhibit, visitors will be able to see “Canadian Expressions” by FAN, the Fiber Arts Network from Canada, a fabulous collection of 50 antique quilts from the “In the Beginning Collection” spanning the years from the early 1800’s through to the 1900’s.

As well, there will be an exhibition entitled “The Currency Exchange” a collaboration of quilts from the US, Japan and New Zealand, the “South African Spirit” showcasing the work of 10 quilt artists working in South Africa and “Transatlantic Quilt Challenge II”, a collaborative effort of US and UK quilters.

I'll be teaching a workshop at the show (Bamboo Grove), attending a lecture and workshop with Rosalie Dace and shopping at the merchant mall (over 60 vendors!).

Specific details about the exhibits, lecture and workshops topics and dates, gala auction items and ticket orders can be found on the website: www.apnq.org
