Did you think I was on Vacation?

Not on vacation....lots going on....designing, teaching, learning, quilting! I'll tell all the stories over the next few weeks.

But today I have to share this great picture taken on Canada Day (July 1st).

We always meet at the Lions Club Pancake Breakfast in Sidney. This year we all dressed up for Canada's 150th birthday.  The girls loved the Sidney Days parade too. We had a great day!

Spring!

Sharing my tulips in pots with you today.  Why pots?  The deer will eat them, the squirrels will dig up the bulbs.....so I plant them in pots on my deck, surround them with a 'fence' over the winter and here are the results.

These are Canada 150 bulbs, developed especially for Canada's 150th birthday. The red markings look like a maple leaf, just like our flag!

I bought all these bulbs through Botanus in Vancouver. I have had excellent results with everything I have bought from them.

I received this picture from Jean B. a while back. Jean made this quilt to celebrate Canada's 150th Birthday. She used my pattern True North to make her quilt. Great job Jean!

This pattern is being updated to include an additional version using an
upcoming Northcott Oh Canada collection called Our Home & Native Land.

I have also designed Crossroad Squares using this collection.

These new patterns (and several more!) will be available in about a week.
