My friend, Anne, and I registered almost a year ago for a 2-day workshop with
Gwen Marston at
Quilted Strait in Port Gamble, Washington. We gathered our fabrics, sewing machines and tools and took the ferry to Port Angeles. We stopped at a couple of quilt shops on the way to Port Gamble where we offloaded our supplies into the classroom in preparation for the workshop.
Here are pictures from the workshop.

Samples of Gwen's small sketches. Each piece was about the size of a sheet of regular paper. |

Amazing how much fabric we all brought to make our small sketches! |

My first small sketch - fun trying some of the techniques that Gwen demonstrated as I made this piece. |

Three more sketches from fellow students. It was fun to see how everyone put the different types of 'parts' together. |
