Winter's Coming

Even though it isn't officially 'Winter' it is definitely getting colder and our winter rains have started.  Are you dreaming of a place with sun and warmth?  Why not join me in Kona, Hawaii in February.  I will be teaching at the Quilting in Kona Retreat sponsored by Pat Yamin of Come Quilt With Me.

I'll be teaching some of my most popular and fun workshops:

Thursday, February 14th - Sheer Collage Cards. This 'freeform' style of piecing and applique makes a perfect base for embellishment. Since it's Valentine's Day perhaps we'll create some 'hearts' imagery. I am providing a kit for you - you just need to bring some basic sewing supplies.

Friday, February 15th - Super Nova. This is a project from my book, Give & Take Fabric Applique. Learn this 'no waste' fusing technique where you will always have smooth curves and perfect points! You will bring your own fabrics for this workshop so you can make a Super Nova quilt in your favourite colours.

Saturday, February 16th
 - Simple Stained Glass (morning workshop). Learn to create a stained glass quilt with no bias, no glue - it's just fast and fun! You'll be almost finished your small quilt in this workshop! The supply list for this class includes black fabric, batting, thread and a fat quarter of fabric to 'see' in your stained glass window. I'll have additional fat quarters available for you too.

- Broken Cookies (afternoon workshop). Turn fat quarters into a great 'split' quilt and learn about fusing and decorative machine stitching. This is a great 'stash buster' project and I KNOW you have fat quarters in your stash!
