Wedding Quilt

As a quilter you probably have made quilts for special occasions. Me too!

Here is the wedding quilt I made for Melissa and Scott.

This was an 'improvisational' quilt. I cut strips of all the fabrics, made many courthouse step-style blocks without paying any attention to sizes and then began arranging them on my design wall and sewing them into larger units.  My main challenge was that my design wall, though fairly large, wasn't big enough for the entire quilt. A few slices and dices later, the quilt was fairly straight!

They love it and their cat thinks it's pretty nice too.

Sorry Jackie - this is a 'one of a kind original'. I really enjoyed working with those colours. Started with a fat quarter that I bought from Satin Moon and went crazy from there.
